Where is Mars Island?
Mars Island and the smaller Norris Island are among several islands lying in the approach to St. Margaret’s Bay near Lower Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada. The character of the islands is remote, but the distance by boat and then car to downtown Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia, is only 30 minutes. By speedboat direct from the island, it’s even closer. The Halifax Stanfield International Airport is about 1.25 hours away. By helicopter, minutes.
